Anybody know where the diagnostic connection is on a 1995 Lincoln Town Car?
yahoo answer
The plug under the hood that hooks up to the code reader. Our Mercury’s connector is on the passenger side near the cowl, but so far we can’t find it on the Lincoln.

Left side bottom of instrument panel.(look under drivers side panel or under the steering wheel area)
It’s under the dash by your legs on the left side.
It should be under the steering column, there is a panel, and you can feel underneath. Unless the ’95s had On Board Diagnostic I, then it should be under the hood. You can always drive to your local AutoZone/Car Quest, ect and they will tell you.
1995 was the model year that all Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis/Town Car models switched to EEC-V, in other words, OBD-II compliant. That being said, the data link connector IS under the instrument panel, accessed from the driver’s seat. From the driver’s seat, look under the instrument panel to the right, but just to the left of where the ashtray/cupholder assembly slides out, you will find the 16-pin OBD-II connector. Hope this helps.
